Guard Noah Fence
Once upon an evening fair-y
A group of nuns met light and airy
with intentions fine and witty
A convent to form in Music City.
At this meeting there came a tapping
as of someone gently rapping,
Rapping on the chamber door.
Only this and nothing more.
Entered then a stately gent
Tall of frame but slightly … bent.
Not the least obeisance made he;
Not a moment stopped or stayed he.
Lightly perched he upon the settee
Pen and pad in hand had he
To document the august occasion
And of each succeeding liaison.
A wish to serve is all he sought
Tho’ nun’s garb to wear he thought not
Fear not! A role to fill is not that hard
Your role can be that of Guard.
A guard for all the Sisters fair
A humble man who loves and cares.
A gentle soul wishing no offense
Henceforth to be known as Noah Fence.
